Characteristics

Mount Vesuvius is located in Naples, Italy. It is 1,281 meters high, towering over the surrounding areas. Before the 79AD eruptions, there was no name for volcanos. It’s name has derived from the Roman God of fire, Vulcan.

Today, it is one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world because 3 million people live near it. More people live near Mount Vesuvius than any other volcano in the world.

History

It is the only volcano on the mainland of Europe that erupted in the last 100 years. It is famous for an eruption that happened 79 AD eruption that lasted more than 24 hours. It is actually formed from two volcanos. Mount Vesuvius is a volcano in southern Italy. We know so much about the destruction of Pompeii thanks to the letters written by a man called Pliny witness the eruption Mount Vesuvius.

Mount Vesuvius is located in the golf of Naples in Italy .  did you know mount Vesuvius is 4203 feet above sea level. Mount Vesuvius is a famous but very deadly more than 1 million people died because of mount Vesuvius.

Location

Did you know Mount Vesuvius take about 9 kilometer of  the main land of Europe? There are two other volcano near Mount Vesuvius the first one is called Elm and Stromboli did you know people live closer to mount Vesuvius than the other two

Eruptions

Mount Vesuvius repeted 50 more after 79ad . did you know you could  not see the burnt town because of the ash. ever since the town got burnt down it never got re built  until it was discovered in the 18 century

Changes

Did you know the Samrno river flows changed  directions and beach rose . Because of Pompeii this is not a river or the east coast . Also It formed two more volcano

Other information

If you would breath in the smoke glass would form in your stomach Did you know the lava is 999c anything in  the lava way would get destroyed The lava is smooth which means it deadly.

Before the 79 ad eruption there was not a name for volcanos it was discovered by the roman god of fire called Vulcan.

HISTORY

The only volcano on the main land of EUROPE that erupted in the last 100 years is mount Vesuvius . Mount Vesuvius is one of the most dangerous volcanos in the world because over 16,000 people died from the eruption because it is so dangerous. Mount Vesuvius  shot above 20 miles in the air in 79 AD. Mount Vesuvius is famous for an eruption that lasted more than 24 hours.

FUN FACTS

Mount   Vesuvius  eruptions used to be small but now they are humongous. unlike other volcanos. the last eruption was on the 7th August 2020 at noon . Over 16,000 people died from the volcano. it set plant on fire. the volcano gets as hot as 999 degrees celcuis and 1.830 degrees farenhight . the volcano erupted over 200 times EXTRA  INFORMATION

The volcano is formed of two volcanos ! the people of Pompeii didn’t realise they lived next to  a volcano. the volcano grew on the 24th November 2020 so it grew again recently. Did you know the volcano felt and looked like it was raining elephants out the sky ? In the 79 ad the volcano  showed sighs that it was about to erupt.

Your shield will be ready hard as a rock,your spear with the pointy edge and defeating your enemies , Your armour flexible vicious and protective. When someone throws a spear at you and you can’t block it with a shield your armour will only get a bend which means you will survive.
