CHARACTERISTICS

The old explosive mount Vesuvius is located in Naples, Italy. The amazing mount Vesuvius is 1,281 meters and 4,203 feet tall which is really tall compared to so many other volcanos ever seen in the world. Before the 79 ad eruption there was not a name for volcanos it was discovered by the roman god of fire called Vulcan.

HISTORY

The only volcano on the main land of EUROPE that erupted in the last 100 years is mount Vesuvius . Mount Vesuvius is one of the most dangerous volcanos in the world because over 16,000 people died from the eruption because it is so dangerous. Mount Vesuvius  shot above 20 miles in the air in 79 AD. Mount Vesuvius is famous for an eruption that lasted more than 24 hours.

FUN FACTS

Mount   Vesuvius  eruptions used to be small but now they are humongous. unlike other volcanos. the last eruption was on the 7th August 2020 at noon . Over 16,000 people died from the volcano. it set plant on fire. the volcano gets as hot as 999 degrees celcuis and 1.830 degrees farenhight . the volcano erupted over 200 times EXTRA  INFORMATION

The volcano is formed of two volcanos ! the people of Pompeii didn’t realise they lived next to  a volcano. the volcano grew on the 24th November 2020 so it grew again recently. Did you know the volcano felt and looked like it was raining elephants out the sky ? In the 79 ad the volcano  showed sighs that it was about to erupt.
