Trip to London

On Tuesday 20th November 2018,  Year 6 got to go on a trip to the National Gallery in London, We went to the National Gallery  because we are  learning about the painting Men Of The Docks, which was painted by George Bellows in 1892.

The most interesting painting that I looked at was called The Fighting Temaraine by an artist called Turner. The reason why this painting was the most interesting to me is because the oil textures that are feteured in this painting looks very realistic and it’s a very interesting painting to me because I love the really cool features and the colours that the artist has used.

The painting Men  Of The Docks was different in real life to the painting on the whiteboard, because in real life it was how they exactly the same as hoe the artist has painted it but on the the whiteboard it is very different because it hasn’t got the full detail in the painting.

My faviorite part of the trip to the National Gallery was when we got to sit down and have a talk about the painting Men Of  The Docks , this is because of the the ladie explaining all of the features and textures in this painting, which I thought was really cool and amazing. The reason why this was is because the different things that we talked about was very cool, I also loved the picture called The fighting temoraine because the sun set looks very detailed and interesting. As well, the boat in the distance is very detailed and textured very well
