Our trip to the National Gallery

On Tuesday the 20th of November,we visited the National Gallery to see a painting called The Men at the Docks that is the painting that we were focusing on in year 6. We went there because we wanted to see all the amazing and beautiful paintings that were made in the old days we were in the coach for 3 hours. We left at 7:30 am because we didn’t want to get stuck in traffic. We were inspired at looking at these pictures because of George Bellows.

My favourite picture was called The Fighting Temeraire it was my favourite because of all the colours that were there, which was amazing, they were really nice that is why my favourite picture was that.

The painting Men at the Docks really shocked me because it was so big and it had loads of teccer and it was really nice. I enjoyed looking at it because it was overwhelming I expected to be really small because on the computer it was very small and I thought it would be tiny like all the other pictures that were there.

The whole trip, was very interesting I really enjoyed it and I thought it was really amazing my favourite part of this trip to the National Gallery was looking at all the paintings because they were really interesting.
