Urban fox fact file!

Urban foxes can be found in some of these countries; Australia, European countries, Japan and North America! Foxes are omnivores, therefore they eat meat and also plants. These foxes mainly just scavenge food that have been dropped by humans, they mainly eat, meat, bones, bread and bird seed! Believe it or not around 425,000 cubs are born in spring by urban foxes. Urban foxes can live up to 15 years! Wild foxes only live short lives however.

Red squirrel fact file!

Red squirrels sadly are decreasing in population, they are omnivores and eat pretty much anything. Adult squirrels normally weigh around 330 grams, this is not heavy at all! Red squirrels normally only live for up to 5-6 years. The tail length of an adult red squirrel can grow to 20 centimetres, that is very long for a tail of a animal that is only about 25 centimetres tall. Did you know that red squirrels have 4 fingers and 5 toes. They can be left or right handed, red squirrels can also swim!

Badger fact file!

Badgers normally live in families of 6, they don’t live in harmony with other badger families sadly! They are different species of badgers that live in different places, they also act and live differently. They make tunnels into the ground to live, they also hibernate here in winter! All badgers come out rarely in the day but they are nocturnal, they come back out at night! They also have small black beady eyes. In spring they can grow up to weigh at 15-17 kilograms.
