a letter to my famliy if I were evacuated

Dear mum and dad,

I am writing to you to tell you how I am doing.

Well when I got on the train and it left the station .I got really tearful as I watched you both wave goodbye but I got over it. I sat next to this realy kind and sweet girl. We found out we were going to the same place and the same house. Good thing were friends not enimes. We had a great time on the train she made me forget all about why we were on the train in the first place.

When we arrived this lovely lady greeted us at the train station and said she was the bilington officer for this area and she would take us to where we would be staying. She took us to a house ware a ugly old  lady answered and  she said ” she did not  want  us”

The diary of an evacuee!

Dear diary,

Today was one of the most terrifying days of my whole entire life! I had to be evacuated to the countryside because of the war, I really didn’t want to though. It started when my mother got a letter about evacuations, I had to be evacuated! They sent me off to the train station, I got to have a shoe box of things with a maximum of ten things. I packed everything and off I went. The train was boring and I met no new friends but I couldn’t wait to see who was looking after me. Finally I stepped off the speeding fast train, I was here!

A strange lady came up to me and told me to come with her, I was weary at first but I followed her with some other children. She said that she was going to take us to our new homes! Was him or her going to be nice or not? We were walking for a very long time, I was scared! I saw lots of people leave before me. A long time later the billeting officer took me to a door, this was mine!

The man I met was very nice, his name was Tom. When I walked in he got me something to eat, he got me a luxury: bacon and eggs! I couldn’t eat it all but mother told me to be polite. Later that evening we watched the fire roar. I went to bed after this I was excited, we might have some fun tomorrow.

10 things I would put in my bag if I was evacuated.

I would put:                                                                6.A jumper

1.A teddy bear-one of my favorite                             7.A pair of socks

2.Another teddy bear-another favorite                      8.Underwear

3.A picture of my family                                            9.Paper

4.A t-shirt                                                               10. Another pair of underwear

5.Leggings
