YOU WILL NEED:

  • Dozen large roses with gypsophila                                      ( two different shades for example magenta and pink )

£ 3.30 at lidl in huntingdon.

  1. find a holding point for your flower length and vase type then spiral the roses in one direction to form a dome shape.
  2. Put the gypsophila stems in halfway through and towards the end so they stand out.
  3. Twist as you go to create the desired shape.
  4. Tie with twine in a double knot.
  5. Lay the flowers against the vase to choose where to cut the stem the neck of the vase will hold the shape of the bunch they don’t have to reach the bottom.
  6.  If the gypsophila is hanging down snip off the end and disperse these among any gap in the arrangement.

make your flowers last longer with this advice…

¹Refresh the water every 3 days and add flower food – 1 tsp sugar dissolved in water with one drop of bleach.

²Ifd you are using a clear vase save any foliage for the bouquet and use it to line the inside.

³ Use strips of sellotape to create a grid across the top to bottom of the vase when arranging. This will create sections to work in and keep the stems right up.
