STEM WEEK!!!

In STEM week I did a lot of things , but I will start off with my favourite first! The irrigation system! We had to go in a group of three and I was with Jacob J and Jossin. Jacob poked holes in the lid, while me and Jossin were poking holes in the neck of the bottle. It was a bit funny when Jacob poked the lid so hard that the pin broke! When Miss Ruff came over to my group we were ready to cut the bottom off the bottle she said “Do you want to do it yourself or me?” So I said yes! One day later… We were ready to put our bottles in the soil. I started us off with shoveling the soil a bit. Then Jossin did and after Jacob did.  We were ready to put our bottle in the ground so Jossin did. After that all three of had a turn of  putting the bottle in the soil so the holes were in the soil. The whole purpose of this is to water your plants with ease so it will get far down in the soil so it will spread to the roots.

The second thing we did was the “Soundscape.” The soundscape was when we use the same sound and measured it with distance using trundle wheels.  Me and Phoebe were monitoring the the decibel meter. If you wondered what decibels are I will show you   decibels are used to measure sound. Now lets get back to the main game so it wasn’t an actual decibel meter it was an app. First we were shouting STEM WEEK! Kenzie recorded it so we didn’t have to keep shouting it. We started off with 0 metres then gone up to 4 but it was quite windy so at 3 metres was the loudest with 73! Then on the Monday after STEM week the whole of key stage two came into the purple hall. There was  five tables and each year group showed their classes work.
