Maths with Miss Reeve
Today with miss Reeve we were learning about multi step word problems. Multi step word problems have more things to do. In these word problems you may use minus, add, division and times.
e.g. I buy 275 sweets 75 are blue 150 are pink and 50 are purple. I ate 7 blue 32 pink and 13 purple. How many do I have left?
(Answer in the comments)
Bethany thinks it will help her maths . Despite it being peaceful it was super tricky!

Today was a very exciting day today because I became a tuck shop manager! Mr Eldon says that my first meeting would be Tuesday after my afternoon register. I think I was chosen because of my poster at the end because it was bright bold and interesting. I can’t wait to go and I won’t forget to blog!

I turn on the tap/I walk to the stream lyrics FIRST 2 VERSES
I turn on the tap
and the water flows
I don’t know where it comes from
I don’t know where it gose
But it’s clean and clear
and it never runs short
So I never ever give it
a second thought
I walk to the stream
in the heat of the day
It’s a long long
long long way

peer mediator week 5
OF COURSE THIS WAS EXCITING BECAUSE ONLY ONE WEEK UNTIL I AND A WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE BECOME PEER MEDIATORS.
This week we were looking at how to use the script. First we need to introduce ourselves (hello my name is …….. welcome to the mediation). After that we talk about what has happened to the disputants. You may repeat it so the people think is this what really happens and explain what will happen. Give out tips and suggestions for the disputants can think what should we do. After all that we ask the people do they both agree and whatever is handy on the script.

💯 word challenge
Hi people it has been a hot summer day,you need to drink lots of water every day. Also I loved coming back to school on 5.6.17 it was so cool, all of the chairs, sofas and tables were brand new and we’re even better. We didn’t have to sit in our spaces because Mrs Kelly did not know, but Mrs Kelly is very nice so is Mrs Delaney and so is Miss Nicholls and Mrs Reason. All of the children loved the new furniture and we’re so so happy when they saw it.Our learning has been changed a bit but it is even better now.

Week 3 peer mediators
What?
Beginning – Introduce your self and talk through the problem
Middle – Let the children think of the solution we give small hints
End – You should have given enough information so it never happens again
When?
As soon as you heard about the problem straight away go to the children.
How?
- Say hello and introduce your self in friendly manner
- Start a conversation about playtime
- Using non threatening body language including appropriate eye contact
- Choosing word sensibly
- Use appropriate tone and pitch of voice
- Enquire how the other person is feeling
- Suggest mediation as a option and explain what it involves
Behaviour?
To be a good peer mediator you have to have:
- Good listening
- positive attitudes
- patients
The opposites of these are the unhelpful behaviours of peer mediators.
