The “cheering up poster” by Livia

Lonely, Isolated and missing loved ones – Does this sound familiar to you? Well all around the United Kingdom and around the globe, families and close friends have been separated due to lockdown because of the Coronavirus outbreak. Although people know being separated is the right thing to do, many people are starting to feel lonely because no one is by their side at the moment and they are starting to understand the feeling of being separated from their family and friends. Children kept away from cousins, Grandparents separated from Grandchildren and closed loved ones locked behind doors. Even though we have apps to contact our friends and family it is not the same feeling when your seeing them through a phone and seeing them in real life this is people you can’t hug them on the phone you can’t play games together on the phone. Can you? While in real life you can do all them things when you see them. My name is Livia and I would like to introduce you to the “Cheering up letter” this letter has a little sentence on it that should make someone feel a bit  more happy for the day on the letter it says “ To friends and family, I miss you so much I hope your feeling well and doing good.” I have made this type of letter/ picture so you can send it to your friends and family so they know that they are not forgotten by the close and loved ones!

The “cheering up poster” has been designed to make someone in a good mood and to cheer them up! There is a big variety of colours to choose from for the colour you want your poster to be. This poster is meant to make someone’s day without having to see them so when you are buying a poster you will not be charged any money, this is because the poster should make one of your friends or family happy, and a smile from a loved one is priceless so we are making the posters free! You could even take a picture of one of the posters and text it to the people you miss. The posters are very good quality posters with many cute designs to choose from. There is also the “extreme cheering up poster” although this poster does cost 20p it’s really worth the price, on the extreme poster the is a little pouch full of little happy and inspiring quotes you could even find some treats in there but, the pouch isn’t just the only thing that makes it different from the normal posters there is also a button on it and when you press it, it will either say “I miss you” or it will start playing a little happy song. So it is worth buying the “cheering up poster” or the “extreme cheering up poster” to make your day or someone else’s day!

Although speaking over the phone or using video chat to talk with someone Is something that lots of families are doing at this time, the “cheering up poster” offers something different. This poster is a way to not to call your family and friends everyday you can just send a picture of your poster through a text, it is a way to show family and friends that you are still thinking about them across the day. You may phone family and friends once a day, or even once a week mainly when you have time for a conversation. But with the “cheering up poster” or the “extreme cheering up poster” whenever you’re feeling forgotten or lonely, or your just missing someone you can use the poster to cheer yourself up or you could send someone a picture of it he amazing poster! You don’t need news to tell them, or the time for a long chat – you just need the time to cheer someone up!

Wonderful work, Livia and you have upleveled and improved this excellent piece of writing all week!  I love the way you have chosen specific vocabulary to persuade and you have structured ec sentence carefully to entice your audience (the dragons) to buy your product. You should be rightfully proud of this work.

Well done, Livia. This is great work and we discussed it on Seesaw.

Introduction

Many people in lockdown at this point are getting board and many people are separated from there family’s and feel isolated with no one around them. Although people are doing there exercises they are doing it alone. Well I have found a solution for that a electrical bike that you can communicate whilst doing your exercise so you don’t feel so alone whilst staying healthy. Other people have a hard time finding a way to stay healthy and if they are separated from someone so this is a perfect thing to use for communication and for you to stay healthy. There are other main features to this machine such as the screen for checking your pulse and heart rate and recording so other people that have this can give you tips on how to get started.

A great idea for a design, Simas.

Explanation

This is a high quality machine that will keep you healthy and fit whilst staying at home in these tough times and you can video call other people that are also using it if you feel like you need comfort whilst exercising. The price of this will be £250 per bike. It will come with wireless charging so you won’t need to plug anything in it will just charge when you see that the battery is low. This dike is designed essentially for talking to your friends whilst exercising and for recording to give people that are using it tips so they get a bit of an idea of what to do. It will also come in different features like the cheaper bike will cost £200 with no wireless charging.

A good try, Simas but you can uplevel this work by adding some extra clausing.  Look back at the powerpoint for today’s lesson and uplevel you writing by starting sentences in different ways.  Add some extra information using relative clauses and you coud even add a list which will use a colon too.

My RED Robot

This robot has the ability to make child think deep in their imagination and picture a image of their thoughts. As a result of this, children can develop their minds and forget about sitting in lockdown.

Robot RED – also known as Robot Engineering Design – shares ideas on how to have fun, but also gives advice when doing homework. It was as if it is was a teacher – just a version of the robot!

As a result of this robot, I would like to charge it £24.99, so that people can eventually afford it. The money earned will be used to make more of the robots, so there will not be any profit from it, it is just to make everyone happy. Many people have lost their jobs because of the virus, so if anyone couldn’t manage to buy the product, the sponsorship will do as much as they possibly can to buy it for them. The delivery will be for free, so the customer would not need to worry about paying extra pennies. When they receive their order, they will get an instruction sheet attached to the robot. It will also contain a letter for the child as well, so it will get to know the robot, too.

Wonderful work. I’ve given you some feedback on Seesaw.

Very clear, persuasive ideas today Livia and you haveused some subordinate clauses in this work. Remember to punctuate the clauses with commas. I have highlighted one sentence where you have written the subordinate clause but need to add the comma.  Also the word is is highlighted as the sentence doesn’t make sense.

Caronavirus/lockdown

At this moment caronavirus is spreading worldwide and more and more people are getting infected. More and  more stores are getting closed down and many people are staying home because of this. Many people are also gathering all useful supply’s so they don’t run out of it in a short amount of time and many people are were starting to panic.
My life in lockdown is starting to get a bit boring and there wasn’t much to do. I still could at least go out for a bit.

But when there was home learning I had something everyday and it kept me going for a bit everyday. For me it was quite good for me because it wasn’t that boring as doing nothing.

Whilst you are in lockdown you could try and find something to do and you need to wash your hands frequently to stop spreading germs. If you are board you can go into your garden for fresh air if you don’t have a garden then you can go into your balcony.

One day in lockdown I woke up and started my home learning and after I finished I went out side into my garden and played for a bit . After I finished playing I went inside had lunch and in the evening me and my family watched a film. Then we went to bed.

It is not that bad to spend time at home you can actually have more time on your own life.

Well done, Simas. You’ve added some good facts we are experiencing at the moment and some good advice about what to do during lockdown.  It is a good idea to vary your activities- playing in the garden, completing your home learning, spending time with your family so well done for identifying these things.

My Present Life Surrounded by Lockdown

Dear Diary,

I can’t continue like this anymore; I miss my school, friends & family! What’s next?!

As you may know, coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 – is spreading worldwide very quickly! Shops close, masks are worn, people forced to stay at home. People are infected by this virus, and the NHS (National Health Service) advises not to go outside often and to wash your hands.

But what about us children? How will we get our education?

My successful school – called Huntingdon Primary School – also had to close down. /However, this does not mean that at this point we stop learning. To continue our knowledge, we are set different challenges and tasks on an app named Seesaw. We work as usual, but we just do it at home.

It’s hard for me to tell if I like to study at home. But I can only say that I hope that in the future everything will be better. It becomes really difficult for us to travel anywhere now!                                                                                                              To be honest, I do whizz through my work very quickly, which gives me more time to help my younger sibling complete his work and spend time with my family. In addition, I would got outside into my garden just to breath in some fresh air and do some exercise.                                                                                                                                                                             Easter is approaching, and me and my family are starting to put up decorations at home! I can’t just wait for the day to come! Of course we don’t really plan to go anywhere, but at least I’ve got my family round. It’s a thing that matters.

I do hope everything works out. Protect the NHS. Wash your hands. Stay Safe!!

Thank you Vicky for this well written diary entry on your thoughts and ideas at the moment. It sounds like you are making the most of each day and spending time with your family- which is the first, and foremost positive thing you can do.  If you do feel down or bored, remember you could always blog. Blog a story or some facts you have created. I always find writing and being creative is a great way to mentally “get away from reality” for a little while. Feel free to be as creative as you want- I may take a break for the holidays from reading blogs but I will be excited to see what you have written.  No pressure at all- if you want to, go for it but if you don’t, then you don’t!
