Caronavirus/lockdown

At this moment caronavirus is spreading worldwide and more and more people are getting infected. More and  more stores are getting closed down and many people are staying home because of this. Many people are also gathering all useful supply’s so they don’t run out of it in a short amount of time and many people are were starting to panic.
My life in lockdown is starting to get a bit boring and there wasn’t much to do. I still could at least go out for a bit.

But when there was home learning I had something everyday and it kept me going for a bit everyday. For me it was quite good for me because it wasn’t that boring as doing nothing.

Whilst you are in lockdown you could try and find something to do and you need to wash your hands frequently to stop spreading germs. If you are board you can go into your garden for fresh air if you don’t have a garden then you can go into your balcony.

One day in lockdown I woke up and started my home learning and after I finished I went out side into my garden and played for a bit . After I finished playing I went inside had lunch and in the evening me and my family watched a film. Then we went to bed.

It is not that bad to spend time at home you can actually have more time on your own life.

Well done, Simas. You’ve added some good facts we are experiencing at the moment and some good advice about what to do during lockdown.  It is a good idea to vary your activities- playing in the garden, completing your home learning, spending time with your family so well done for identifying these things.

My Present Life Surrounded by Lockdown

Dear Diary,

I can’t continue like this anymore; I miss my school, friends & family! What’s next?!

As you may know, coronavirus – also known as COVID-19 – is spreading worldwide very quickly! Shops close, masks are worn, people forced to stay at home. People are infected by this virus, and the NHS (National Health Service) advises not to go outside often and to wash your hands.

But what about us children? How will we get our education?

My successful school – called Huntingdon Primary School – also had to close down. /However, this does not mean that at this point we stop learning. To continue our knowledge, we are set different challenges and tasks on an app named Seesaw. We work as usual, but we just do it at home.

It’s hard for me to tell if I like to study at home. But I can only say that I hope that in the future everything will be better. It becomes really difficult for us to travel anywhere now!                                                                                                              To be honest, I do whizz through my work very quickly, which gives me more time to help my younger sibling complete his work and spend time with my family. In addition, I would got outside into my garden just to breath in some fresh air and do some exercise.                                                                                                                                                                             Easter is approaching, and me and my family are starting to put up decorations at home! I can’t just wait for the day to come! Of course we don’t really plan to go anywhere, but at least I’ve got my family round. It’s a thing that matters.

I do hope everything works out. Protect the NHS. Wash your hands. Stay Safe!!

Thank you Vicky for this well written diary entry on your thoughts and ideas at the moment. It sounds like you are making the most of each day and spending time with your family- which is the first, and foremost positive thing you can do.  If you do feel down or bored, remember you could always blog. Blog a story or some facts you have created. I always find writing and being creative is a great way to mentally “get away from reality” for a little while. Feel free to be as creative as you want- I may take a break for the holidays from reading blogs but I will be excited to see what you have written.  No pressure at all- if you want to, go for it but if you don’t, then you don’t!

How to survive lockdown

            How to survive lockdown

Since the UK has entered lockdown in 23rd March, many people are wondering how to survive
lockdown. This text will give you information about what you need to do in order to get through
lockdown without being infected of coronavirus.

The first step is to always stay at home, you have heard the NHS say, "Stay home, save
lives." several times. This is because you might have coronavirus in the past 2 weeks without
knowing and can infect about 3 people! Imagine the whole human population going outside if they
are infected (1,000,000), that will be 3 million people infected and they will not know! Make
sure to stay away 2 meters from people as the NHS suggests, this will make the dust particles
not reach you.

But what if you need to desperately go outside? The NHS says you are allowed to go outside
if it is desperate. This includes: going grocery shopping, doing exercise or essential travel.
But do not go outside to visit family or friends as they may have Covid-19 without knowing!
My advice is to only go shopping twice a week, as many grocery stores might be crowded.

How do I prevent it? First of all, drinking water will help you stay hydrated. Next, do not
forget you can stay in touch with family and friends over the phone or on social media, to help
you avoid feeling low or lonely. After that, try to build hobbies. You can cook, practice
a new instrument or try new activities. Do enough exercise, if you feel well.

What are the symptoms of Covid-19? The first symptom is showing high temperature, this
means it is hot to touch your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature.)
Second is a continuous cough, you may have these at-least 3 times a day as a cough episode or
coughing for more than an hour. A shortness of breath is common with these symptoms, that means
you will have difficulty breathing. Many serious cases may lead to pneumonia, which can cause
death.

Daivam, you know lots about the coronavirus and have written these well in this piece. You have
organised your work into paragraphs and into sentence clusters about the same subject. Well done!

Life during lockdown…

Dear diary,

Life had been miserable during these days in lockdown…I felt as if I was trapped like a bird in an unforgiving cage. When I heard the news that we were going to be doing work at home, I was excited and jumping up and down like a monkey. However things did not go the way I had expected.

On the first day,I still had a wide open smile to wake up and live the new life I was given. I naturally woke up at 7:20 as usual because that is the time for school days( for some reason my body follows this rule to wake up at the right time).Ate breakfast and went to my desk. I opened seesaw and did the work (however there was technical difficulties), soon I had lunch with my family. At the dinning table, everybody was energetic and lively. When I had finished my meal, my older sister (21years old) came up to me and …BIT ME…she has an addiction to bite people ( she once made my cousin bleed massively when they were children ). Without a doubt, a sibling war began…My mom is usually on my side though. I ate dinner and went to sleep.Nothing could go wrong when sleeping right?During the midnight, I felt a shiver down my spine and realized that my sister had stolen my blanket. I didn’t mind so I tried to pull it back however it didn’t work. I was too scared to actually take it back as I know the next morning, my sister would be fractious and tell my mom the opposite story. So as a typical Qian Qian, I slept shaking all night.

On the second day of lockdown, I was tired unlike the day before. Woke up at 8:19 surprisingly.

On the third day of lockdown, I felt like I had lost my soul. Woke up at 9:45 this time.

On the forth day of lockdown, I woke up at 10:34 . I went down the stairs like a drunk person world. Trembling and wobbling down the stairs, I was desperate for some fresh air and to walk outside.

On the fifth of lockdown, I woke up at 12:39 and skipped breakfast to eat lunch. At my working desk, I was tried and so I decided to do the work later. My mom forced me to go to the garden to  redeem my stamina. It helped. Fresh air… Although I couldn’t walk properly anymore, I wanted to go for a walk. My mom said that I am not allowed out as the infectious virus is also taking a walk outside.

After a week, today I am writing this soulless and miserable at my working desk. Eyes almost closed, body is weak, my fingers are squishing on the iPad screen like a worm dancing.I want the life back. Hopefully there is a end to this soon and I can escape this lifestyle.Although I am exercising now to recover, there is a lot to be done.(Right now my mom had just got a food delivery and she has gloves on, mask on, antibacterial spray equipped and ready to fight the delivery box.She said that we must leave the box for a week to let the bacteria die.)

Lockdown is not a joke…

Qian Qian, I am always excited to read your writing and this is no exception. Your level of description, sentence structures and tone in your writing is inspiring.  I completely agree with you about Lockdown and know, for me too, it is a very different, disorientating time.  If writing helps you to stay focussed and sane, please, please keep blogging about anything or everything.  Keep it up- you could publish one day!

Lockdown by livia

Life is very hard for everyone right now especially ones that are sick. We are all in lockdown because of the coronavirus. This virus is a new virus that has been found that’s why everyone is freaking out right now. They say they might find a cure in a year but we never know what the future holds, we might get a cure before that time but, on the other hand we might not but, we need to keep our positive thoughts.

Coronavirus is taking over the world right now, everyone could catch it. It spreads person to person very quickly so we can’t go out and see our friends even our family that don’t live with you. This is why we need to stay at home and be safe, we only need to go out to buy necessary things like food and things to help you with hygiene.

There are many things you could do during lockdown, you could do some exercises in your garden, colour, read books, bake and build a blanket tent. There are loads of cool and fun things to keep you happy during this difficult time everyone is going through at this moment in life.

Exercises in your back garden or house are very useful to do right now because everyone has to sit inside many gyms and exercise places are also closed because of this so we all need to take care of our bodies at home.

I have been doing lots of things with my family like baking, playing games and much more. I love FaceTiming or texting my friends to still be in contact with them and if their feeling well and heathy.

Excellent writing, Livia with some very well written fats about all our ives at the moment. I particularly like your positive message at the end about how to keep healthy and occupied with your list of things we can all do. Well done!

Survival guide

We have all been in lockdown for some weeks now.If you want to know how to survive in lockdown here are some ideas for you that you could do while at home.

  • You could do things that you love like painting, drawing, baking and other stuff like that.
  • If you have a trampoline you go on that do some tricks.
  • If you have a back garden you could play around or do some exercise.
  • You could go on electronics if you want.
  • You could play game with your sisters and brothers or your mum and dad like uno, jenga and games like that.

Here are some rules to follow if you want to keep safe.

  • You should always wash you hands after you went to the toilet.
  • You should wash your hands before you eat and after you eat to make sure they are clean.
  • When you sneeze put the tissue in the bin and wash your hands.
  • When you also cough wash your hands too and keep safe.
  • If you do all of they rules you will be safe.Make sure you do something active to keep you moving.

Evelyne, very well done. I love your overall message of staying moving and healthy and you have set your writing out in an appealing way using subheadings and bullet points.
