Trip

On Tuesday 20th November, year 6 went to The National Gallery in London. The reason why we went there is because our school entered a ‘take one picture’. Another reason why we went is because we have been learning about a painting ‘the men at the docks’, it was painted by a famous artist George Wesely Bellows.

The most interesting painting for me was ‘The fighting  Temeraire’. The person that painted this painting was Tumer. It is my favourite because I liked that the sunset was at the end of the day, and it was the last day of the boat until it got destroyed. I also like it because the sunset looked really nice and the colours he used blended in fenominoly.

Yes, ‘The Men At The Docks’ looked different in real life because  on a computer you cant really see the deatails and texture however in real life you can.

My favourite part of the trip was when we could look around the gallery because I have never been  in one and the paintings where amazing.my second favourite part was the gift shop because I bought really cool stuff. My favourite thing I bought was a feather pen because i could use it at school.
