Leavers Assembly – HPS Letter

Huntingdon Primary School has been my school for seven years; it has been a place that has helped me grow and helped me start my life strong. Huntingdon Primary School has helped me spring to life, promptly but carefully. My time here has been made special, mostly by the teachers and Ta’s, who are extremely kind to me and who I know I can go to if I am upset.

I will miss all the great teachers and Ta’s that have taught me lots. I will also miss all the great memories I have created and all the fabulous friends I have made along the journey I have been on. One of the things I will really miss is the school trips I have been on. Some people prefer not to go on trips, I certainly do because I feel that it gives you a special time to bond with people.

My favorite memory of this school is when it had it’s 50th birthday and we all got to dress up in the time it came around. It was a time that the whole school came together and celebrated our school and it’s history. HPS is a great school and I give luck to all of the other children who are going to grow up here.

Maths Question-previous SATS test

In this test Mrs Rigby made a silly mistake in a question, so now we are going to tell you how to solve it correctly.

The first step is to read the question carefully and thoroughly, even if you read it 100 times MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND IT!!!!!!!

Next try and calculate the answer and check that you know what the question is asking you to do , from division to times to addition to subtraction.

Then you check your answer by doing the inverse to what                                                                        the question asked. After that if you see you have gone                                                                            wrong then double check what the question was asking                                                                            and then redo it.

My dream pet

My dream pet would be a puppy husky and my wish would be it could be a puppy forever- reasons why this dog is my dream pet:

  1.  Its eyes are adorable, because they are shiny and sky blue( which is my favourite colour).
  2.  Its skin is extremely soft and silky.
  3.  Its so fun to play with.
  4. They are not vicious and easy to train.

The story of Macbeth

It all starts with the three witches that say ” When shall we three meet again? In thunder lighting or in rain? When the hurly-burly’s done, when the battle’s lost and won. Meanwhile Macbeth is fighting a battle for the king.

On Macbeth’s way back to his castle with Banquo , they spot three creepy witches appear from thin air. The witches say some unusual things “All hale,Macbeth, Thane of Glamis ” , Which Macbeth is, “All hale, Macbeth, thane of Cawdor”  ,Which he isn’t, ” All hale, Macbeth, who shall be king ” ,Which he isn’t and was really surprised when the Witches said that. They also chanted to Banquo “All hale, Banquo, who’s sons shall be kings!”  Then they vanished in a flash.

After that a messenger came told Macbeth he was going to be Thane of Cawdor, which is what the witches said!

Macbeth wrote a letter to his wife telling her about the witches and arrived home soon after he was awarded the medal. They chatted for a while until Lady Macbeth had an idea to kill  the king when  he went round there.

They proceeded with the plan until the deed was done. Mcduff, another solider, found out and killed Macbeth!!!

John Lewis Christmas advert challenge 5.

Dear Santa,this year I would like something more valuable than I have ever asked for!!!!!!!

I have been dying to put this on my Christmas list for a few months now, I am really hoping you will deliver it for me. Although presents are not really important at Christmas time, I  just want my mum to stop moaning about me jumping on my bed,every night.

What I would like for Christmas is a huge girly trampoline.  I would really love it if I woke up on Christmas morning with it there for me to admire.

I know that it might be a struggle for you, and your reindeer(Dasher,Dancer,Prancer,Comet,Cupid,Donner,Blitzen and Rudolph) to pull it along in the sleigh, but you would make my Christmas so special.

Why I like Christmas

I like Christmas because:

1: I love my whole family getting together,which almost feels like a family reunion,because everybody is           happy and is laughing- constantly!!!!

2:I love waking up on Christmas morning with a buzz of excitement trickling through my body.

3:I love going down stairs and seeing the beautiful and neatly presented presents cooped up on the sofa.

4:I love hearing the crunch and rip of the wrapping paper as I plough through the presents.

5:I love the scent of the roast turkey and delicious carrots as I walk into the seasonal kitchen.

6:I love hearing the family have lots of fun on Christmas Day, and their laughs filling into the Christmas spirit.

7:I love the sweet apple pie and the crunchiness of the crumbled biscuit.

100 word challenge

The night was drawing in, the sun was a dark orange colour. It was Ruby’s bedtime but, she couldn’t get to sleep for the weary noises outside were keeping her awake. All of a sudden the clock struck midnight and Ruby heard the front door slam shut. She peeped out of the window and saw her big sister and her friends sneaking out… but where were they going?… Ruby then crept out of bed and tiptoed across the hallway. ” Are you still awake?” whispered Ruby’s mum.                                              ” Yeah sorry I’ll go to sleep now”                                                                                                                ” Okay darling night”                                                                                                                                    ” Night mum” said Ruby.

 

What I want for Christmas

Here is my list of what would like to get for Christmas:

  1. I would like a bean bag for my bedroom
  2. I would like some movies
  3. I would like an iTunes voucher
  4. I would like some money
  5. I would like a new purse for me to put my money in
  6. I would like a handbag to put my purse,which will have my money in-HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!!-

How my life works

Monday:On Mondays I go to school from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm. After school I go to football club with the St. Neots sport coaches. after this club finishes at 4:20 pm I go home, have dinner then go to another club called Banana Drama from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Tuesday: On Tuesdays I go to school from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm. After school my sister picks me up and we go to a place called the Medway Centre. We go here to do Dancing , which includes Tap and Street Dancing,I really enjoy this because it helps to make your muscles bigger and stronger and also makes you flexible.

Wednesday: On Wednesdays I go to school from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm. After school me and my sister walk to my great aunties to meet my Nan. Then we get a lift home from my Nan as my Nan stays for dinner.

Thursday: On Thursdays i go to school from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm. After school I go to the One Leisure Centre and stay to do Dancing. I love Dancing as I said in the part of Tuesday.

Friday: On Friday I go to school from 9:00 am to 3:20 pm. After school I go home, relax and watch telly.

Children in Need

For children in need everybody at my school wore something spotty to help raise money for this charity. We all co-operated  and brought in £1 if we wore something spotty.

I wore socks and put stickers of spots on them because it supports the cause and supports Pudsey bear. My mum also drew a Pudsey bear face on the side of my cheek to represent the cause.
