Hi , today I’m going to tell you what we did at school when some children were at school and some children were at Burwell . Okay, so the first day in the morning we did fun times tables with colouring then we started to read the Christmas Carol and watch the film too. The Christmas Carol was pretty cool and a little bit scary with parts that make you jump.
The next day we read some more of the story and watched a little bit more of the film. We went in a trip to Chiquito, did Lego coding, played pass the parcel and made Christmas decorations for the school disco.
My journey to Chiquitos was amazing. I had so much fun at Chiquito but I was sort of upset because my friends Layla, Kinga, Jonah and Baker weren’t there because they were on the Burwell trip. I still tried to enjoy myself without my friends and I still had Lexie.B with me. Also I had loads of fun at school anyway. We were still doing learning but it was fun learning. When we got back from the Chiquitos trip we got to go on an ipad. We also watched the Christmas Carol film and we also were reading the story. We read the story chapter by chapter and watched the film chapter by chapter. This really helped me learn the story. We also practised the year 4 Christmas song for the carol concert, we played pass the parcel, we made school disco Christmas decorations and did Lego coding. Even though we didn’t go to Burwell we still had fun.
When we played pass the parcel.
Pass the Parcel was so fun! We were doing it to Christmas songs and someone got a dare! It was Kayden and his dare was to sing twinkle twinkle little star in the middle of the circle. He didn’t want to do it so lots of people went into the middle of the circle and we all sang together. It was really fun.
Hi . Today I will be able to talk and give you ideas how to get a independent learning license.
- 1.) Listen to the teacher when she or he is teaching in a lesson.
- 2.) Ignore children who are disturbing you when you are learning so you get your work done and don’t do it at lunch, play time, and golden time .
- 3.) Be polite to everybody like the teachers , children and the middays which make our lunch every day.
- 4.) Never forget to not lose even one thing in your toolkit because the teachers might think that you are not responsible for an independent licence.
- I hope you use these ideas
- (more…)
Last week on Thursday year 4 went to the Chiquitos restaurant. We walked in pairs of twos.
When we got there we made some buritos, it was really fun. In my one I put rice, chicken, lettuce and cheese as the filling. It was very tasty and yummy! I enjoyed eating it!
Atthe end of our trip, we got bags and hats but it was time to go.
Wehad a brilliant time!
In gym this week, we played the red light, orange light and green light game. It is a game where you have to stop on the red light, jog on the orange light and run on the green light.
Then, after that, we had to walk on tiptoes then I did handstands with all my friends. I also did forward rolls and last of all we had to run and jump as high as we could and land in a neat landing position.
1. First rule of getting an independent license is to know how to work in a team and don’t boss people around as in team there’s no I in team.
2.The next step to become an independent learner is to always have what you’ve been given for your tool kit.
3. Finally make sure you are a good role model, complete your work and learn from your mistakes!
First you need to show the teacher that you can do more than expected. Next, you need to do your work in the time you have been given. Then you need to work somewhere you won’t talk too much. You will need to improve your behaviour and work or you won’t get chosen for a license. When you come in you will need to be focused because if you talk you won’t get chosen to get a learning license. You have got to be quiet and sensible.
That’s how to get a learning license.
I am so close to getting my independent learning license but here is what you have to do at Huntingdon Primary School.. : show you are ready to learn, work collaboratively, if it’s not excellent it’s not finished, focus on learning, the power of doing more than expected, challenge yourself, make mistakes but learn from them, take pride in your work, follow instructions and try your best!
I was soooo excited for this weeks gym session!
I think my favourite part was doing the cartwheels!
When I did my cartwheel I felt really flexible!
My friends said I was really good! That made me very very proud!
Then sadly, we had to leave! That was my lovely time that I had this week!
