Mountains

How are mountains formed?

Mountains are formed when a layer of Earths crust is pushed (forced) up in big folds or blocks.Slowly over the course of millions of years, mountains are formed. Even-though,not all of the mountains are the same they are sometimes built  similarly or similar to others. There are some mountains which are fold block, dome and volcanic.constantly mountains are jagged because they are eroded by the weather. The rocky weather wears the surface away.

Paragraph2         Dome mountain

Block mountains, begin to form when a slab of land breaks off and is forced up to two of Earths tectonic plates pull apart or push together. The faults are lines where the ground breaks apart. Common Earthquakes are along faults. The (blocks on either side of the block)mountains  are forced down,as well as the mountain is forced up.As the two of Earths tectonic, plates move, a big slab of land breaks off. It is forced up, and becomes a block mountain.

Paragraph3  Dome mountain

Dome mountains occur when liquid rock inside 5he Earth forces the ground above it upward. This swelling doesn’t break through the surface. The force, or pressure,  produces a dome like shape. The molten rock does not erupt the crust through like a volcano.Molten rock from within the earth pushes up, making  a dome shape.

Paragraph4         Fold mountain

Fold mountains are the most common type of mountain. The tectonic plates push together and they combined to each other and make  their self   strong another and heavey another to push each other together.
A fold mountain is the most common mountain in the world this mountain is very hard to climb up and its not that snowy. This fold mountain is very strange it starts up straight then becomes bigger and bigger as it grows and it will stay hard.

Mountains

Introduction

Mountains are formed , when tectonic plates ( a layer of the earths crust ) move and collide to be pushed up in big folds or blocks. Mountains are formed over the course of millions of years but they form very slowly. However, they are not all the same. Have you ever wanted to know how many types of mountains there are ?

 Block mountains

Block mountains begin to form when a slab of land breaks off and is forced up as two of the tectonic plates pull apart or push together. Faults are lines were the ground  breaks apart. As two of the Earths tectonic plates move, a big slab of hand breaks off. The blocks on either side of the block mountain are forced down while the mountain is forced up.

Dome mountain

Dome mountains occur when liquid rock inside the earth forced the ground above it upward this swelling doesn’t break through the surface. The amount of force pressure makes a dome like shape. The Milton rock , does not erupt through the crust like volcano.Dome mountains don’t usually get as high as folded mountains.

Mountains forming ⛰

How are mountains formed?

Mountains are formed when earth’s crust pushes up because of the molten rock underground. However, not all mountains are made that way. Some are made by colliding tectonic plates, some by being broken off and pushed up and some even by magma bursting from the earths crust! Mountains become jagged because of the weather eroding the rocks. Erosion is when rocks break off because of the weather and water.

Block mountains

block mountains are formed when a slab of land breaks off and the two tectonic plates push together and push the block up. Block mountains are one of the most common mountains on earth. They aren’t blocks forever, though, because of erosion. Mount Everest, surprisingly, is a block mountain.

Dome mountain

Dome mountains are made by magma rising from the ground, but not busting out. An example of this is black hills in South Dakota.

About the mountain

How are mountain formed?

Mountains are formed when Earth is pushed to make big folds or blocks. Slowly over the course of millions of years mountains are formed. Although mountains are not the same they are formed similarly. There are many types of mountain such as fold Lock down and volcanic. Because the weather has been eating parts of it. Eroded is where the rocky surface  is washed away.

Block mountain

When I slap of line place of two out of tonic plates pull apart a push together a Block mountain begins to form.this happens by the tectonic plates are using force  from the Earth.A tectonic plate is a solid rock. The bloke is for the Block on either side of the block mountain is forced down.

Dome mountain

Now, the liquid rock hits the Earth crust forces the ground upwards but it does not come.Did you know that Mount Everest is a dome mountain? The molten rock does not erupt threw the Earth’s crust. The force between the molten lava and the tectonic plates make the dome shape of the dome mountain.swelling does not break through the surface it stays underground. Show mountains are the most commonest mountains in the entire world and they can also be classified as a heel if they are smaller than a mountain size.

Fold mountain

They were formed when two or more a tectonic plate opposite together. At these colliding, compressing boundaries, rocks and debris are wrapped and folded into rocky outcrops , hills ,mountain and entire mountain ranges. Within the other part of Earths crust ,Fold mountains are formed. Did you know that Rockies and the Himalayas are young folded mountains because they are around 10 to 25 million  years old. Fold mountains can also be classified as a hill because if it is lower than mountain height it is a hill it is higher than mountain height it is a mountain.

Mysterious Mountains

How are mountains formed ?

Mountains are formed when a part of the Earth’s crust is pushed (compelled) up in big Minecraft blocks or colossal folds. Ploddingly over the course of millions of years, mountains are forged and carved into a masterpiece. However not all mountains are the same. There are many different types of mountains there are fold, block, VOLCANIC and dome mountains.

Block mountains

Block mountains look like cliffs they are mostly parallel and odd looking. They are formed when 2 tectonic plates depart from each other causing leviathan cracks in the bedrock ,which is the bottom part o& the crust or the 3rd part of the crust. When parallel cracks occur, the block of land between the 2 cracks may rise upwards but not all the time so it is quite rare for this mountain to occur.

Volcanic mountains

Volcanic mountains look like volcanoes because they are volcanoes.  They spew out burning lava and dark ash sometimes dyeing clouds black. They are formed similar to dome mountains but they pop spewing out lava everywhere and destroying all the land surrounding it. They eventually layer with every eruption and that is how a Volcano is formed.

Dome mountains

Dome mountains are mountains that are formed similarly to volcanoes but the top does not pop and instead creates a large hill. When climbing dome mountains it is quite scary because you know that there is a pool of magma under the mountain and it can pop at any second which is why I call them dangerous. They also can be quite simple to climb because they are just hill that is over 600 m tall.

Block mountain

Block mountain began to form when a slab of land because off and the meet to grow and make a big mountain like Mount Fuji and they forced up as two of earth’s tectonic plates pull apart or push together. Tectonic plates are tectonic plates are are broken pieces made of the earth crust or lithosphere. Another name for them is crustal plates. Continental crust is less dense, and oceanic is denser. These rigid plates can move in different directions, shifting constantly.

MOUNTAINS

How mountains are formed

Mountains are formed from the Earth crust, which is pushed up in big folds(forced) up and down in blocks. Slowly of the course of millions of years, mountains begin to form. Although they are all mountains they are not all the same. There are lots of types of mountains, which are called block, dome, volcanic and each mountain belongs to a mountain range.

Block mountains

Block mountains are  are formed when a(large) flat piece off land breaks off and is forced up by tectonic plates. Two off the earth tectonic plates pull apart or push together and make the mountains in a block like shape. The faults break the ground apart and when there are earth quakes the tectonic plates push up and make the block mountains.

Dome mountain

Dome mountains take place when a liquid rock inside the earths, it forces the ground above it and pushes upward because of the tectonic plates. The (liquid in the rock) swelling doesn’t break through the surfaces. The forces or pressure in the liquid rock pushes together and make a dome like shape.

Mountains: Did You Know?

How are mountains formed?

Mountains  are formed when the Earths crust is pushed up in big folds or forced up or down in blocks. They form over the course of millions of year, and sometimes even longer! Despite the majority of fold mountains-which you will learn about more- there are different types of mountains such as: Fold, Dome, block and volcanic mountains. Because mountains are consistently eroded (gradually wearing away) by the weather, they are quite jagged. This is because of the mass of weather near to the top of the mountains and the reckless weather.

Block mountains

The formation of a block mountains begins when a portion of the Earth breaks off and then is forced up as two tectonic plates pull apart or push together. To clarify, a block of mountains is made when two tectonic plates move, therefore a slab of land breaks off. Then it is forced up to then become a block mountain. Later on the blocks on either side are forced down, as the mountains gradually become as higher and higher.

Dome mountains

Dome mountains are formed when liquid rock (lava) inside the Earth surface swells and forces the land above to go upwards. The swelling of liquid rock doesn’t break through the Earth surface, instead it creates forced to then create a dome like mountain. This mountain is unlike the volcano because lava wouldn’t break through.

Fold mountains

These mountains are the most common type of mountains,  to create a fold mountain two tectonic plates would have to collide and push against each other. This action will create a fold. Over the years this will create a fold mountain and eventually maybe even a mountain range!

Plateaus mountains

These mountains are flat areas of land that are found in high places. When a mountain is formed blocks of Earth can drop and lift against each other. That is how the flat areas of a plateaus mountain is made.

Mountains big write

How are mountains formed ?

Mountains are formed when a layer of the Earth’s crust is pushed or forced up in big folds or blocks. Mountains are slowly formed over the course of millions of years. However, none are the same to one another. Some types of mountains are fold, block, dome and volcanic mountains such as stratovolcanoes. Because mountains are constantly being eroded (which is when stuff break off parts of the mountains) mountains are jagged. The weather easily wears away the rocky surfaces.

Block mountains.

Block mountains are formed by the movement of large crustal blocks when forces in the Earth’s crust pull or push it apart. Some parts of the Earth are pushed upward and others collapse down. The surface of the Earth can move along these faults, and displace rock layers on either sidea.

How mountains are formed.

How are mountains formed?

When a layer of the Earths crust is shoved,  mountains are formed bringing with them a beautiful environment for animals and plants. However , this is not a short process, taking millions of years. For example, the Himalayas are over 15 million years old and they are classed as a young mountain range. With four different types of mountains, which vary in sizes, the fold mountains are most common. All the other types are block, dome, and volcanic. Not many people know, but volcanoes are actually a type of mountain too.

Dome mountains

Dome mountains, which are formed when magma ( liquid rock ) from the Earths core pushes up until it starts to mood the Earths crust into a dome shape. Hence the name. Unlike volcanoes, in a dome mountain the magma stays under the Earths crust ( a layer of rocks around the world.)

Fold mountains

Fold mountains, which are the most common type of mountains, are caused when a layer of sediment ( a layer of rocks and minerals ) gradually move and fold over each other to form a mountain range. The Himalayas, being a great example, have the biggest mountain on Earth in it ( Mount Everest.)
